What is DIPG?

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a highly aggressive brain tumor that primarily affects children between the ages of 5 and 10. It develops in the pons, a critical area of the brainstem that controls essential functions like breathing, movement, and heartbeat. DIPG is particularly devastating because:

  • It is inoperable due to its location in the brainstem.
  • It has no known cure, with current treatments offering only temporary relief.
  • Survival rates are extremely low, with most children surviving less than a year after diagnosis.

Despite the challenges, organizations like Aubreigh’s Army are working tirelessly to fund research and provide support for families affected by DIPG.

The Lemon Face Gala: Raising Awareness and Funds

The Lemon Face Gala is an annual fundraising event dedicated to honoring children fighting DIPG and raising critical funds for research and treatment initiatives. The gala includes:

  • Inspirational Stories – Families share their experiences and the impact of DIPG.
  • Live and Silent Auctions – Proceeds go directly toward research and support programs.
  • Community Involvement – Bringing together businesses, families, and medical professionals.

By sponsoring this event, QRC Valves fights to bring hope, awareness, and resources to those affected by DIPG.
