Houston Food Bank: A Pillar of Support

Serving 18 counties in southeast Texas, the Houston Food Bank plays a crucial role in combating hunger. With over 104 million meals distributed annually to more than 800,000 individuals, the organization’s impact is profound. Such extensive outreach is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, who are essential to the food bank’s operations. In fiscal year 2024, approximately 93,657 individual volunteers contributed over 532,586 hours of service, thus, highlighting the community’s commitment to this vital cause.
